Noah and Scott Top 5 Anime Collab: Part 2!

Hi everyone me and Scott from Mechanical anime review got together, i’d say it’s been at least a month and decided to do a collaboration for you guys. I’ll leave a link for his half mine is the second half it’ll be at the bottom of the page hope you enjoy it. Let’s start Noah and Scott Top 5 Anime Collab: Part 2!

Noah’s #3: Code Geass

Let’s start with this anime is awesome! It used to be number 1 a few years ago. To be honest, I’d say it and number 2 aka high school dxd are really tied. Buuttt they are numbered. Code Geass takes place in year 2017 of Holy Britannian calendar. an outcast prince obtains the power of geass from a mysterious girl with green hair in a straight jacket. Being chased by a by the military. Geass comes in many different forms for the young prince it comes in the form to control any one to do any one thing up to one time when giving the order with eye contact.

The prince whose name is Lelouch takes back the world with the help of Japanese terrorists and becomes the man behind the mask zero. This is definitely worth watching. IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THIS YET YOU ARE MISSING OUT!!!

Scott’s #2: Turn A Gundam

In my mind, Turn A Gundam is a culmination of all that is great about Gundam along with it being Yoshiyuki Tomino’s magnum opus. While it has the necessary mecha action brought in from all Gundam series, it explores a lot of running themes in it like imperialism, the horribleness of war, and how to avoid history repeating itself in the most dire of times. The main conflict is between the advanced race of the moon lead by Queen Diana, the earth who are still on the victorian stages of society, and our protagonist is Loran Cehak who is from the moon race and wishes to fight for Earth because otherwise they would be squashed like a bug. Plus, Yoko Kanno does the music and it’s incredible.

It’s far from being a perfect series though. It’s fifty episodes long, can have some wild filler episodes, has a lot of dialogue in it, and is far from being the most easily accessible Gundam series, but Turn A Gundam is on the top of the mountain for me because all of its strengths greatly outweigh all the weaknesses in an absolutely strong package of material you can’t find in a lot of places. Even in Gundam itself. A good anime from Tomino in 1999.

Noah’s #2: High School DXD 18+

I hate to put this one on here, but I love it. There’s no doubt it’s f***** up though.

But if you don’t know what it’s here you go. High School DXD is about perverted high school boy named Issei Hyoudou. Issei one day goes on a date. Issei dies he is reborn as a demon. With the power of a dragon inside him. Together with his friends he fights demons, fallen angels, and angels not to mention the gods from north’s mythology. While on his way to his goal of becoming the harem king. Which I actually find hilarious!

The thing about this anime is although it’s 18+ rated anime. That can be extremely sexual there is tons of great plot to the story.

Scott’s #1: Ghost in the Shell – Stand Alone Complex

Set in the near future of 2030 in a fictional city by the name of Niihama, Public Safety Section 9 is a special task force given the job of solving cyber crime. They are a unit made mostly out of former military cyborgs led by Major Matoko Kusanagi. Their main case in this saga is tracking down the Laughing Man and putting an end to his crimes. The Laughing Man is a master hacker who can hack anyone at anytime, through what is called Ghost Hacking, and use them for their own purposes whenever.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is what I would call the perfect anime for people like me. Produced in the early 2000’s, this show could be airing right now and you wouldn’t be able to notice how old it is. Also, the world and character building is amazing. While the main case is going after the Laughing Man with its many twist and turns, there are episodes dedicated to other cases which adds believable depth to this world and it’s characters along with certain fetishes that appear from full body prosthetics. It’s a mystery anime in its truest sense which is utterly astonishing.

Noah’s #1: Date A Live series

Date A Live is about a world where powerful creatures known as spirits exist. A High School student named Shido Itsuka has the power to seal these spirits and keep their powers inside his own body. To stop the natural disaster they cause when they come into the dimension. To do this Shido must go on dangerous dates with these girls to save them and the world.

Top 5 Anime

My best girl is also from this anime Tohka Yatogami. When she was first introduced they called her princess. Check out how she got her name and look up the Kabbalah tree of life graph. You’d be amazed by her character development as well as all the characters in the anime.

I mainly post anime related content on my Iridium Eye Reviews blog. Funny enough, I just posted a review for RErideD today on that page.

Sure thing. I’ll check out some of your posts.

Okay. Ideas? Maybe some reviews involving Satoshi Kon, Yoshitoshi ABe, or a list about underrated anime protagonists?

          • December 21, 2019 at 9:59 pm

I like the idea of under rated protagonist? that sounds FUN!! OH YA at work right now should be working lol. But goofing off a bit!

          • December 21, 2019 at 10:44 pm

I think a list of overated protagonists would be FUN! As well as a little bit funny we could do that! If you want to do that!

High School DXD didn’t seem all that sexual to me. The protagonist becomes a mega powerful demon but to my knowledge he never did anything but stare at girls’ boobs. He’s the clueless harem hero. Instead of wanting to do what he does, we all fantasize about what we’d be doing in his place.I consider it a “fun” anime though the fun rather started to wear off as it progressed.

Ghost in the Shell was a work of genius. It is an adult anime in the true sense of the word, not as in too sexy for children but rather as adult characters, adult behavior and deep philosophical themes.

    • December 18, 2019 at 9:08 pm

I do agree about What you said about high school DXD.

I think the reason That is so messed up is because we fantasize about it because stuff is said things, are inferred but never actually done which makes our minds go somewhere it shouldn’t lol!

Because of this I don’t think it’s suitable for a younger audience you may be able to get away with 16 and older that’s my 2 cents!

Thank you very much for the comment! I greatly appreciate you reading it and hope you find more you like!
